Having had a run in with the big N in the past we know more then many about software licensing, it seems that contractors working on behalf of Majesco Entertainment and Atari, decided that rather then porting several games across to the Wii they would instead use openly available emulator source code to complete their commercial games releases.
When the authors of ScummVM found out that Pajama Sam, Freddi Fish and SPY Fox had been ported to the Wii outside of the license terms they got in contact with Majesco and Atari only to be met with hostility, and threatened with investigations about the production methods for their own software.
We were quite shocked. It looks like Mistic Soft took money for all the porting efforts but instead of that just stacked together a ScummVM build!
